Say hello to Starr! She is as pretty as they come, and she knows it! Beautiful Starr is a 3-year-old, medium-built lady, who loves to be the alpha female in her home. However, she can also be submissive to other dominant dogs. Starr has been observed with both male and female dogs of varying sizes while in foster care, and her foster mom says that with time, they have learned to do well together. Starr has become friendly with her foster siblings, but was somewhat intimidated in the beginning. She thrives on her humans’ attention, and when she craves all of the attention, she would prefer the other dogs just let her have it. She loves to be cuddled and give kisses, and will jump into the laps of her teenage human counterparts for kisses and cuddle sessions. She is not afraid to “ask”! Starr has not had any interaction with young children, however. She has only had limited interactions with seniors, but she was just as sweet with her kisses, and eager for them to pet her. She has not spent time with cats while in foster care. Starr is a happy and healthy pup, who has done very well in foster care. She is super intelligent! Starr is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash trained! Her foster mom said that she has been a fast learner, and is always eager to come when she is called! Even though the beginning of her life in rescue was fraught with health issues, namely intestinal worms and kennel cough, she now has a clean bill of health. This beautiful and active girl would do especially well in a home in which someone is a stay-at-home parent, who could give her the love and affection that she craves; and preferably a home where she doesn’t have to share her humans with other pups.
