Bugle is a pug, as you can see, and is approximately 2 years old. He arrived with a skin infection due to the abhorrent living conditions at the puppy mill. He’s healing up great! And he absolutely LOVES the car rides to the vet!! Bugle loves to play with other dogs and would do best with a dog friend to teach him how to be a family member. He’s still severely underweight but is motivated by food. He is protective of his food, fearing when he may eat again, so feeding him separately is important. Bugle is learning to trust people, as he hasn’t had much interaction with them and is weary. He follows you around but doesn’t want you to know it yet. This fella has spent his life in terrible conditions and living inside is all new to him. He needs someone willing to be patient as he learns house manners, which a simple belly band can assist with! It is so rewarding to see a puppy mill dog go from being a money-making machine to being a happy and beloved pet that enjoys playing and snuggling!
