Demeanor: Gentle, even-tempered, affectionate, playful, obedient, somewhat timid, protective/territorial (door bells or front door knocks. Porter likes people. He is a little cautious/timid at first, but quickly warms up and enjoys saying hello and being petted.
Likes: Spending time outside or with his people, bully sticks, taking walks, playing
Manners: House-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, does well in a car, obedient, has basic training. He comes when called and responds to verbal corrections.
Bio: Here's what Porter's foster mom says about him, "He is such a gentle and mellow soul. He is starting to settle in and show his true character. He is being more friendly towards people and less shy, loves to play with someone and on his own. He enjoys the dog park, but doesn't really play with other dogs (maybe he just hasn't found the right one yet!). He is crate trained, but does like to whine/bark for just a bit after being crated. He loves himself a good bully stick!"
Porter would love a family that would allow him to spend a lot of time outside or on a screened porch. He loves to go on long walks and take in everything. He would be great in a home that can give him lots of attention and doesn't keep him cooped up in a crate all day. He would be great companion to anyone of any age.
