Fini is settling in his foster home. We'd like to share a few words from his smitten foster mom:

"Fini is one of the best behaved dogs I have ever met. He is very gentle and steps so softly, he's almost cat like. He loves to snuggle and he loves his toys. He almost always has a toy in his mouth as he walks around the house. He likes to play a gentle game of fetch. He is not into wrestling around or tug of war, he is a gentle-player. He is a true companion dog.  While he gets along with everyone in the house, he seems to be a one-person loyalist. He likes to be at his person's side 24/7, he will follow you around, sit quietly by your side while you do your chores and then as soon as you sit down to take a break, he is content to snuggle on the couch with you. He is a serious dog and a perfect gentleman."

"Although he prefers to by his person's side all day and does fine in the house unsupervised for hours at a time, he is also content in his crate and even knows the command "bed" and will retreat to his crate bedtime. He is GREAT on the leash. He does not pull and looks up often to make eye contact on his walks for assurance from his person. He does fine with my two dogs who are rowdy and playful. He doesn't seem too interested so far in playing with the other dogs, and he will growl a little if they get too close to him when he has his toys or his treats, but he is not reactive. He just keeps his distance. He is all about his person."

Best fit for Fini - " Although he does good in my chaotic house, with my two rough and tumble silly dogs and I think he'd do good in a home with other dogs and older kids, I think Fini would be most happy in a home where he is the only dog where he can be someone's absolute best friend/companion. I think his gentle nature and loyal, person-focused personality would make him a great fit for an older retired person/couple who could take him everywhere. He would also be a great guard dog. I could also see him in a home with a single mother and an older child. He is such a good dog!"

Fini is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and microchipped. His heart worm test came back a mild positive, and he is currently being treated using the 'slow kill' method. We accept applications from NC, SC, VA and GA. The adoption fee is $350 and we also require a $20 application fee.
